We started our run at 8:30 am. Even though I make the 7:45 wake up call, Amy beats me there. I have new shoes, she brings the aspirin and we are ready to go. We start strong, feeling pretty good until the first older couple passes us, and then the next. We are fed up with all these people passing us, so when two men twice our age shoot past us we try to catch them. When we cant, we decide to be happy for them. We tell ourselves we are saving our energy for next sundays 9 mile run.
The weather was perfect, it was a nice easy 5.7 mile run. although we did it slow and steady, It payed off. Two hours later we had enough energy to go to an hour Zumba class. -Angela
Ha Ha! Great blog Angela! Slow and steady is what will get us through the marathon!
