I know, this probably sounds like I'm dealing with a bunch of cattle. I use the word "feedings" because if I said "meals" it would sound like you're going to sit down for a five course meal with Chef Cal at Rivers every couple hours. That's not the case at all.
Simply try to eat a small amount of food-preferably a blend of carbs, protein, and fat (see last blog) every two to three hours. If there is one common thread that most of the 1000 or more diet plans out there seem to agree on, it's the frequent feeding principle.
By eating a small amount of food every 2-3 hours, you can keep your energy levels up, avoiding large swings of energy and feelings of having the weakies! Being consistent with this format will also keep you from getting ravenously hungry and eating everything in the house when you get home from work.
You CAN lose weight and get leaner while staying on a three meals per day regimen, but I doubt that you will reach the "Shredded" physique that you're seeking. -Joe
